Community Video 2016

Parramatta Leagues Club has been a proud supporter of the community for the past 56 years.
As a major community Club in Western Sydney one of our key functions is to provide support to important community initiatives throughout the Parramatta and Western Sydney Area. Parramatta Leagues Club is the largest provider of funding in the Parramatta LGA area. We provide over $1M in funding to the local community and grass roots sport per year.

We fund local projects and services that contribute to the welfare and broader social fabric of our local community and we are drawn to initiatives that aim to improve the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people. This year we bought a new Club bus for the young members of our community at PCYC. Parramatta PCYC provide fantastic programs to give young people in our area a safe and positive alternative to life on the streets and the new Club bus will assist them with their activities. We also purchased a new Panda Warmer for Westmead Hospital’s Birthing Unit. The Panda Warmer has already provided a safer environment for a multitude of babies who have required critical care.

As a rugby league club, we are passionate about developing the game in our area by providing quality facilities and development programs. Parramatta Leagues Club is also committed to ensuring the success of other sports in order to keep our community healthy and active. Just some of the sporting teams we sponsor include Parramatta Water Polo, Parramatta District Cricket Club, Parramatta Memorial Swimming, Dundas Valley Rugby Club, Parramatta Leagues Golf Club, Parramatta Touch Football Association, Parramatta Little Athletics, Parramatta Travelling Bowlers and many others.

Through the Parramatta Eels we also use our brand and profile to highlight support for community issues such as family violence, women in league, indigenous issues through our reconciliation action plan and promoting healthy lifestyles in young people. We hope you enjoy watching our 2016 Community video.
