Parra Leagues connects blind and low vision travellers

For the second time in 2021 Parra Leagues have hosted a social event for blind and low vision travellers of Cocky Guides. Cocky Guides is a specialist tour operator that is the current recipient of the Parra Leagues Start Up Superstar in the Western Sydney Awards for Excellence.

Guests arrived at Parra Leagues via the free Parramatta shuttle bus that stops next to the Club, enjoyed lunch at The Bistro, before an interstate rivalry took place during a game of tenpin bowling at Kicks Tenpin & Arcade.

Samuel, a low vision guest says “I’ve travelled from Melbourne to spend time with friends from Sydney that I met on a Fraser Island group trip. Events like this not only help me reconnect with friends but also enable me to make even more connections within the community. It was exciting to represent Victoria in our game of tenpin bowling and the Parra Leagues staff, like Scott, that go out of their way to make us feel welcome by making sure the lighting is bright in our event space.”
