🎤 Meet Our Speakers
Phil Sim – Parramatta Leagues Club Director and CEO of the MediaConnect Group – (Host)
Phil is the Chief Executive Officer of the MediaConnect Group, a media and technology business he founded and has grown into a multi-national business. His professional expertise encompasses business strategy and management, technology, data, media, marketing, and communications.
Phil chairs the Community Committee leading the Clubs’ vital Community interface providing valuable insights to member and community perceptions, social media and IT.
Josh Drayton General Manager – Communications & Corporate Affairs, Parramatta Eels & Parramatta Leagues Club
Josh is a strategic communications expert with a passion for building brand reputation, government relations, and stakeholder engagement. As the driving force behind the Parramatta Eels’ public profile, he has played a key role in securing government funding for major projects, including the $75M Kellyville Park Centre of Excellence. His expertise in media relations and community engagement has helped position the Eels as one of Australia’s most recognised sporting brands.
Edwin Smith – The Social Sandwich
Edwin has spent the last 12 years shaping social media for some of the biggest TV shows, including Survivor, The Voice, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Love Island, 10 Sport, and more. Now, through his business, The Social Sandwich, he helps businesses master organic social media, having worked with hundreds of clients over the past five years. You can catch him in action (and in a party shirt) on Instagram @TheSocialSandwich—and he’s guaranteed to make you laugh at least once!
Andsley Dennis – Chairman of Alive 90.5FM
90.5FM is a non-for-profit community radio station that services the Hills, Cumberland and Parramatta Districts. Andsley is also a broadcaster/ presenter at Alive 90.5FM and has been driving strategy and change to improve community engagement. Andsley also serves as Treasurer on the governing body for the NEMBC (National Ethnic Broadcasting Council that supports Multicultural and Ethnic Radio Stations across Australia.

Vidzero is a video agency specialising in emotional storytelling for brands. Committed to giving back, they aim to produce 100 pro-bono videos for 100 charities across Australia. Their work spans awareness, branding, training, education, and fundraising, helping organisations maximise the impact of their content.
With extensive experience in crafting compelling stories, including those with challenging content matter and/or talent, they develop innovative video strategies for fundraising.
